From short to feature-length films, 8PH has grown to reevaluate the traditional offerings in Black cinema.  We are pushing past what is expected and freeing ourselves.  The contribution of Black creatives and business people in cinema is invaluable, yet we have been relegated to tropes, stereotypes, and rehashed storylines.  Attempts to change often end in lackluster projects concerned with responding to the tropes.  We don't respond; WE CREATE.  Entertainment and marketability are given the highest priority at 8PH.  We believe predominantly Black films can span the width of escapism to Oscar worthiness while maintaining the dignity of character and story.
